La mia partecipazione ad Illustrarte 2016

Salve a tutti, questa settimana sono rientrati i lavori da Lisbona erano accompagnati da una lettera che voglio condividere qua con voi:

Dear Illustrator,

We would like to thank you once again for participating in ILUSTRARTE 2016. Thanks to the massive participation of artists from 72 countries, ILUSTRARTE has once again reached its purposes: to promote children’s books illustration as a major form of art and to create an opportunity to see and discuss the world´s best illustration.

The members of the jury, Serge Bloch, Joana Astolfi, Johanna Benz and Juanjo Oller, awarded the Ilustrarte 2016 Grand Prix to the spanish illustrator Violeta Lópizand three special mentions to Ingrid Godon (Belgium), Jesús Cisneros (Spain) andClaudia Palmarucci (Italy). Check our website, www.ilustrarte.net , to see photos of the selection process and the pictures of the 50 illustrators that have been selected to take part on the exhibition and catalogue.

The jury emphasised that the large number of participants and the high average quality of the works, made the selection process very difficult. We are sure that the fact that you are not on this list will not discourage you, and we are looking forward to receive your participation on the next edition of ILUSTRARTE in 2018.

We would be very happy if you decide to visit the exhibition at the Museum of Electricity in Lisbon. It will stay until the 17^th of April 2016.

I miei lavori non sono stati scelti, ma non importa, mi ha reso molto felice partecipare, e sono comunque molto legata alle tavole inviate che reputo comunque belle. Ed infine ecco le tavole, e voi cosa ne pensate?
